Mac Arnold and Plate Full O’ Blues will present a post-Christmas concert on Thursday, Dec. 26 at The Spinning Jenny, 107 Cannon St., Greer. The Upstate’s premier blues disciple, Arnold got his start playing in a band that included James Brown on piano and later became a member of the Muddy Waters Band and recorded albums with such iconic figures as Otis Spann and John Lee Hooker. The musical project of Charleston-based singer-songwriter Justin Osborne, SUSTO recently released its newest album, “Ever Since I Lost My Mind,” which cements its reputation for delivering powerful indie rock that’s peppered with elements of electronic and Americana styles. Singer-songwriters Janeen Scott, Tim Bethea and Sydney McMath will perform “in the round” on Sunday, Dec. 22 at Delaney’s Irish Pub, 117 W. Main St., Spartanburg.
